The Hunter Prostate Cancer Awareness and Support Group was originally established in 1999 under the auspices of the Newcastle Mater Hospital.
The group continues to grow and is supported by local people who give of their time on a voluntary basis and is also supported by a number of different organisations such as the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and the Cancer Council of NSW with continuing support given from the Newcastle Calvary Mater Hospital.
Who are we?
We are people who have experienced prostate cancer.
We are a non profit organisation.
We are a free service.
We are passionate about getting men on the right track with the resources that are available to them in our local area.
We do not have affiliations with any specialist, doctor or hospital and offer any advice from personal experience only.
